Cockpit Replica Instruments

FIDELITY AND REALISM

eurotec is a world-leading manufacturer of highly realistic and high-quality Cockpit Instrument replicas. These Replica Instruments serve in many military and civil Flight Simulators, and support modern instruments used in a wide range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft types. Since most modern Aircraft utilize Glass-Cockpit installations, most of the eurotec Replica Instruments replicate such ‘intelligent’ and networked Display Units.

eurotec makes no compromises in the quality of the depiction. All the information must be highly legible, both during day time and night time operations. The devices developed and manufactured by eurotec exhibit all the necessary technical properties. The reading angle, sharpness and color comply with the state of the art benchmark. Various interfaces are provided in order that the displays can be driven by all the standard video signals.

If desired, the screens can be fitted with graphics-capable computers, making it possible to generate images and pages on the fly, right in the device. In this case the customer’s device application software can be run, without restriction, in the simulator. The modular design promotes quick repairs, long maintenance intervals, and flexible upgrades.

Following, some of our Replica Instruments are presented. For the overview of our complete Product Portfolio, please see our Product Catalog in our Download-Section.

MFD01 MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAY

The MFD 0 1 replicates the MFD- 2 6 8 by Rockwell Collins in the simulator environment. Located on the instrument panel, it monitors flight information like altitude, position, speed, course, decision height, and so forth. Additionally, in paramilitary and military applications, other formats like tactical status, weapon status, etc. are performed.

By using a special high resolution, antireflection display and a wide viewing angle, the MFD 01 allows for easy scanning and interpretation, just like the original device. The design and feel of the control elements are mostly authentic to the original, and thereby offer trainees maximal learning outcomes through a realistic simulator environment.
The unit can be easily integrated into the simulator system by using either the 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port or the CANopen interface. Like the original, a slip & turn indicator can be mounted optionally.
The MFD01 is approved and applicable for Full Flight Simulators up to Level-D class.

IDU01 INTEGRATED DISPLAY UNIT

The IDU01 replicates the SDS- 5 0 0 0 by Smiths Industries in the simulator environment. The original is used, for example, in the Augusta Westland Lynx Wildcat helicopter. Located four times on the instrument panel, it displays primary flight data like altitude, position, speed course, decision height, and so forth. Additionally in paramilitary and military applications, other formats like tactical status, weapon status, etc. are performed.

By using a special anti-reflection LCD display with high resolution and a wide viewing angle, the IDU 01 allows easy scanning and interpretation, just like the original device. The design and feel of the control elements are mostly authentic to the original, and thereby offer trainees maximal learning outcomes through a realistic simulator environment.

The unit can easily be integrated into the simulator system by using either the 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port or the CANopen interface. The unit can be equipped optionally with a PC-board, to enable an independent operation mode. The IDU01 is approved and applicable for Full Flight Simulators of up to Level-D class.

CDNU01 CENTRAL DISPLAY NAVIGATION UNIT

The CDNU01 simulates the original advanced avionic system CDNU by Thales®. Located in the center console of, for example, the Lynx Wildcat helicopter, the units control and manage the core avionics, communications and navigation systems. Like the original, the CDNU01 is one of the most important devices in the simulator environment.

It can be used with all established computer operating systems either as a “stand-alone unit” in a classroom or in a flight simulator. Graphic drivers can be supplied to cover specific requirements in regards to the performance.

The CDNU01 can be interconnected with other eurotec simulator instruments. This function is primary based on CANopen interface. Simple and convenient maintenance can be affected via integrated interfaces.
The lighting is optimized for performing in a simulation environment. The latest computer technology together with high resolution display and the authentic tactile functionality of the control elements create realistic simulation training for optimal learning outcomes for the trainees. The device is approved and tested for Full Flight Simulators of Level-D class.
